A Place To Write, A Place To Formulate Thoughts

Light bulb laying on chalkboard with drawn thought bubble, symbolizing creative ideas.

If you’re reading this post, then you’re reading the beginnings of what I hope to be a regular cadence of writing online. An opportunity to share my thoughts, perspectives and lived experiences of life’s trials and tribulations.

During the Covid lockdown years, after exhausting my patience on Zoom quizzes and shallow Netflix series’, I started to read more personal development and general non-fiction books to help pass the time. Over the past 6 years, I’ve seen genuine personal and professional growth happen from employing a variety of techniques and habits borne from my reading. You may then not be surprised to learn that you’ll find writing here around various personal development topics – as I learn, explore, interpret and pick through my thoughts and learnings as I go – I’ll share that here.

I don’t intend any of this to be prescriptive instructions on life; moreso an open source project of writing about ways in which one’s life could be shaped and built (or rebuilt) around solid principles, strong personal identity and rock-solid resilience.

You won’t find hyperbole or performativity here – just quiet musings, introspective writing about a range of topics I find fascinating and hopefully, a little bit enlightening for anyone who takes time to read it.

I take inspiration from some big hitters in the personal development space such as James Clear, Cal Newport and Charles Duhigg. I’m also endlessly fascinated by the work of the late Daniel Khaneman and his colleague Amos Tversky. Their writing(s) and research will likely feature heavily as I explore topics ranging from productivity and life systems to behavioural science and mental resiliance.

That’s it – just a place to write, a place to formulate thoughts.
