Hello. Welcome to my writing space
I am no more a writer than I am professional footballer, but I do write – and by definition I think that allows me to identify as one. Specifically, I suppose, I do not write professionally, but I do write about topics that interest me – those are namely personal development, productivity, mental resilience, understated progress and continual development (both self and professional).
I am, however, definitely a data engineer (this proclamation would perhaps raise a few suspicious eyebrows from colleague past and present). I have worked in data and analytics for a number of years across a handful of industries. The type of work involved leans heavily on my preference for all things systematic, logical, progressive and solveable. In the last 6 or so years, I’ve taken a keen interest in personal development and directly benefitted from a variety of reading, watching and listening of such content, that I’ve readily applied to my life to push myself forward in areas of personal and professional growth.
And now, for one reason or another (I’ve not been able to specifically decide why), I have created a small personal space on the vast digital patchwork quilt of the internet to share my thoughts, perspective, interpretations and comments on those aforementioned lived experiences.
You won’t find performative content here nor, I hope, a desire to impress or influence you in any way. What I will provide is my perspective on topics and ideas that genuinely interest me and I belive are beneficial to share.
A collection of essays can be found here, and if for some reason you decide you want to hear a little more from me, I send out a fortnightly email containing nothing more than a handful of notes on topics similar to what you’ll find here on my website. No selling, no noise, just things that have intrigued me recently that I think are worth sharing (you can sign up on the homepage – I’m too lazy to link it here).
Thank you so much for visiting. I’m always interested to hear from others, so please feel free to send me links to essays, posts, videos, anything really that you enjoyed that you might think I’d like too. You can contact me here.
